EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) training gives you the recognised safety registration you need to work on operational utility sites. We deliver the full SHEA suite and National Water Hygiene online, led by chartered health and safety practitioners.
Registrations valid for 3 years (5 years for SHEA Gas)
Delivered online by chartered practitioners
In-house group training for up to 12 delegates
Refresher courses for in-date cardholders

We run in-house EUSR training for groups of up to 12 delegates, so your whole team can qualify together on a date that suits you. Tell us the course, the number of delegates and your preferred dates, and we'll come back to you with a group rate.

EUSR stands for the Energy & Utility Skills Register, the industry register of training for the UK energy and utilities sector. SHEA stands for Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness. Passing a SHEA course puts your registration on the EUSR database, so site managers can check you've completed recognised safety training.
Choose the course for the sector you work in: SHEA Gas, Power or Water. SHEA Core covers general access to utility and construction sites. If you're not sure, contact us and we'll confirm which one you need.
SHEA Gas registration is valid for 5 years. SHEA Core, Power and Water, and National Water Hygiene, are valid for 3 years. Book your renewal before your registration expires to keep your site access.
Yes, if your current SHEA registration is still in date. The renewal course takes a half day instead of the full day. If your registration has already expired, you'll need to take the full course again.
From 1 October 2026, your SHEA registration and your EUSR CSCS card become separate. SHEA cards issued before 30 September 2026 keep the CSCS logo and stay valid until they expire. For new applications, the EUSR Utilities Labourer card replaces the Green Labourer card, and it needs an in-date SHEA registration.
If you work on construction sites, you need the CSCS card that matches your actual job, not a labourer card by default. EUSR CSCS cards include Utilities Labourer, Skilled Worker, Apprentice, Trainee and Experienced Worker, each with its own evidence requirements. Not sure which applies to you? Contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.
All our EUSR courses are delivered online. Full SHEA courses take one day, while National Water Hygiene and SHEA renewals take a half day.
