About the course

SHEA Gas is designed for anyone who needs access to operational sites on the gas network, including permanent staff, temporary contractors and supervisors. It builds on the SHEA framework with content specific to working in and around gas infrastructure, from excavation hazards to emergency response for gas-related incidents.

How long is the SHEA Gas course?

SHEA Gas is a full one-day course, delivered live online.

What are the entry requirements?

You need a good understanding of spoken and written English. For online sessions you'll also need a computer or laptop with a webcam, microphone and a reliable internet connection.

How long is SHEA Gas valid?

SHEA Gas, often called the Gas Passport, is valid for 5 years. Renew before it expires to keep working on gas network sites without interruption.

What do I receive when I pass?

Once you pass the multiple-choice assessment, your SHEA Gas registration is added to the EUSR database. It shows site managers you've completed recognised safety, health and environmental awareness training for the gas sector.
