The ProQual Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety Practice is a practical, work-based qualification for individuals who already support health and safety in their role. Instead of written exams, you complete a portfolio of real workplace evidence, proving competence through the work you already carry out.
This Level 3 NVQ is a strong alternative to the NEBOSH General Certificate and is ideal for supervisors, team leaders, coordinators, and those who play a supporting role in managing day-to-day safety within their organisation.
Learners develop practical competence in areas such as hazard identification, inspections, audits, incident reporting, and implementing safety improvements, all under real working conditions.
Through evidence from your day-to-day work: professional discussions, observations, workplace documents and witness statements. No exams.
One assessor supports you one-to-one from induction to certificate, with sessions arranged around your working hours.
Your portfolio is built online in an e-portfolio, with remote or face-to-face support depending on what suits you.
This qualification is awarded by ProQual, a respected UK awarding body specialising in competence-based assessments. ProQual qualifications are recognised by employers, professional bodies, and the wider health & safety industry.
You will complete a series of units that demonstrate your competence across core areas of health & safety. Evidence is gathered through your normal duties and assessed by your dedicated NVQ assessor.
